The winners of the 2020 Microsoft Office Specialist Balkan Championship have been announced by Certiadria, the local provider of performance-based IT certification exams that accelerate academic and career opportunities.
We are proud of us and our partners who due to Covid-19 pandemic successfully organized the event with all the social and health precautions and measures.
In its 5th year, the competitions attracted candidates from 3 countries from the Adriatic region: Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. Students entered the competition to prove their superior skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
To enter the competition, students of age 13 to 22 took a qualifying Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certification exams to demonstrate their skills of Microsoft Office and Adobe products. The winners will represent their countries on the World MOS & ACA Championship, scheduled to take place in New York, USA, from 29th of July until 1st of August.
“We are happy that despite the changed conditions of functioning of the entire society imposed by the pandemic, we managed to successfully organize the IMC competition this year as well. Hoping that the world will be able to overcome this situation next year, Certiadria has continued to organize this competition, which for years has been recognized as a synonym for confirming the digital skills of young people. We are especially proud of the growing number of young people working to improve their digital literacy and understand that digital knowledge is in demand and can only bring benefits. In addition, the global health crisis has only highlighted the need to improve digital literacy, which has been our main goal since the beginning of our operations.” – said Marko Serafimovski, Director of Certiadria
We want to congratulate the winners and wish them luck at the World Championship in 2021.
