The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research has endorsed and recognised Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) making them the first choice for secondary schools in Austria. These certifications will also feature as part of teacher education in the future.

As part of its efforts to support lifelong learning, the French Ministry of Education has recognised MOS, MTA, ACA and ACU on its national qualifications framework. The national commission on vocational qualifications (Commission Nationale de la Certification Professionnelle) lists these as approved programmes in their registry of qualifications, making them eligible for state funding
Greek Government Recognition of MOS
MOS is a recognized IT certificate by the Greek State, through the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance of the Ministry of Education. In order for a candidate to be employed in the Greek Public Sector, s/he must hold a recognized IT certificate, thus proving his/her skills in Office Suite. By being recognized by the Ministry, MOS is a valid qualification for the employ ability in the Greek Public Sector.
Italian Ministry of Education recognizes Certiport’s MOS and IC3
Certifications.
MOS and IC3 are listed as state-recognised titles that are required in tenders and in recruitment calls for teachers and state administrative staff as well as a number of other profiles. Candidates know that having MOS or IC3 very concretely improves their employability by providing them with more points than a candidate without certification.
Ministry of Interior MOU
A public protocol is agreed with the Ministry of the Interior Department of
Public Security to upskill State Police Officers with MOS, IC3 and MTA
certifications. To date more than 10,000 members of the police force including superintendents, agents and detectives have been certified!
MOS is recognised by the Irish National Qualifications Authority (Quality and Qualifications Ireland, QQI) and approved as corresponding to the following NFQ Level 5 Component Specifications of the National Framework of Qualifications: Spreadsheet Methods, Digital Presentations, Word Processing and Databases Methods.
Polish Government Recognizes IC3The Polish Government has recognised IC3 as a certificate that meets their requirements for implementing continuing education support. As IC3 is mapped to DigComp it is a qualification eligible for funding from the Polish government though the European Social Funds.
Romanian Government Recognises IC3
IC3 GS4 and GS5 are recognised by the Ministry of Education as equivalent to the compulsory Digital Competence examination (Examen de competențe digital) that forms part of the National Baccalaureate examination (taken by all Grade 12 high school students). Students who gain IC3 certification are therefore exempt from the Baccalaureate Digital Competence examination. This “equivalence” recognition was gained after it was demonstrated that the objective domains of IC3 more than matched those of the Ministry’s Digital Competence examination.
The State Public Employment Service (SEPE) in Spain has recognised and accredited MTA and included it in their portfolio of approved courses for ICT as part of their mission to increase employment levels and ensure the human capital capacity of companies in Spain.
